If you’ve been searching for a Cleveland boudoir photographer or a Northeast Ohio boudoir photography experience, I’m so excited to finally share this with you.
Boudoir by Kelly Nicola is officially launching April 1st, 2026, as a new branch of Kelly Nicola Studio.
This has been something that has been on my heart for a long time. I did not want to rush into it. I wanted to build something intentional, thoughtful, and truly meaningful for the people who trust me to capture them in such a vulnerable and powerful way. Every part of this experience has been designed to feel seamless, comfortable, and empowering from start to finish.
Part of what really solidified this path for me was attending a boudoir content day hosted by Ashlyn Taylor. I had the opportunity to photograph three incredible models, and it was great to observe how other photographers guided and communicated between different poses. Prior to this content day, I had spent hours watching educational videos of other boudoir photographers for business, posing, guides and more. I did as much preparation as I could to show up and put my research to work.
They were all so different, so confident in their own ways, and truly beautiful. I loved getting to meet each of them, learning a little bit about who they are, and capturing them in a way that felt real to them. It's a simple reminder that boudoir is not about fitting into one version of beauty. It is about embracing exactly who you are.
That experience pushed me creatively and gave me the clarity I needed to move forward with Boudoir by Kelly Nicola in a bigger way.
As a boudoir photographer based in Northeast Ohio, I will be offering sessions in a variety of carefully selected studio spaces throughout Cleveland and the surrounding areas. Each space will be chosen to match the vision of your session, creating a unique and elevated experience every time you step in front of my camera.
You might also notice that my boudoir work looks a little different from my weddings and portraits. While it still reflects my overall style, I approach editing in a way that better fits the mood of boudoir. The tones are a bit softer, a bit deeper, and more focused on creating an intimate, emotional feel while still staying true to what I love about photography.
At the core of all of this is something simple. Everyone is beautiful. That goes without saying.
It is my job to capture that beauty in a way that feels honest and true to you. It is also my job to create an environment where you feel comfortable, confident, and empowered from the moment you walk in.
This is just the beginning.
I have so many ideas for how Boudoir by Kelly Nicola will grow. New concepts, new experiences, and more ways to make this something really special for my clients across Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. Right now, I am focused on building a strong foundation and creating an experience that people will remember long after their session is over. I also look forward to sharing more about my history and how I got here today.
