Gervasi Vineyard Wedding

Okay. I have to start here.

This was my first wedding for my business. Like… my actual business. The one with my name on it. The one I overthink about at 11 pm. The one I prayed over and questioned and built anyway.

And Faye and Brandon trusted me with their wedding day.

I do not think they fully understand what that meant to me.

They got married on October 4, 2025 at Gervasi Vineyard and Ohio decided to show off. The sun was shining. It was warm. It did not feel like a risky fall forecast. It felt like a gift.

If you know Faye and Brandon, you know this already, but they met playing trumpet in marching band. Which is honestly so iconic. Out of all the ways to meet your future spouse, theirs started with brass and halftime shows.

Faye is soft, thoughtful, and intentional. Brandon is outgoing, a little goofy, and completely steady. He keeps things light. She keeps things grounded.

Together they just make sense.

The morning was slow and quiet at their Airbnb, which is my favorite kind of start to a wedding day. No chaos. No rushing. Just light pouring through windows and meaningful details everywhere. Their vow books. Their rings. Her jewelry. The fabric wrapped around her bouquet. Everything had purpose.

And then there is the dress.

Faye crocheted her own wedding dress. I still cannot casually say that without wanting to grab someone’s shoulders. She crocheted it. A full white fit and flare gown made by her own hands. Every stitch was time and patience and love. It was classic but also completely one of a kind, which honestly feels like the perfect description of her.

The florals were done by immediate family, which made everything feel even more personal. Nothing about this day was random. It was layered with meaning.

Before the ceremony, they shared private vows by the lake under an arch. The water was shimmering and it was warm enough that you almost forgot it was October. They were nervous in that smiling, can’t stop laughing kind of way. And when they could not decide who should read first, they played Rock Paper Scissors.

I love that so much. Because that is real. That is them.

One of my favorite parts of the morning was watching Faye finish getting ready with her mom. It was quiet and sweet and the kind of moment you do not pose. You just witness it.

Then came the ceremony in The Conservatory, surrounded by windows and beautiful natural light. Earthy tones everywhere. Tuscan vibes. Family watching closely.

And then they did something that I will talk about forever.

They secretly planned to play a trumpet piece together during their ceremony.

No one expected it.

It was legendary.

You never think when you are in elementary school awkwardly learning how to hold an instrument that this is how you are going to meet the person you will marry. But for them, that is exactly what happened. They met because of trumpet. Because of band. Because of choosing to try something when they were kids.

And there they were, dressed for their wedding, standing side by side, playing the instrument that started it all.

It was full circle in the most beautiful way. I had chills. Other people had tears. It felt bigger than just a musical moment. It felt like honoring their entire story.

Later, I captured my favorite image of the day. An under the veil portrait in black and white. They are kissing, wrapped in soft light, and it feels timeless. It feels honest. When I look at it, I do not see a trend. I see love.

They also incorporated a wishing well basket from Brandon’s grandparents’ wedding, which was preserved so beautifully and passed down. I love when couples bring history into the present. It reminds you that this is not just about one day. It is about legacy.

The reception was intimate, about thirty family members, with lunch at The Bistro and then back to the Airbnb for desserts, games, and long conversations. The first dances were emotional in the real way. Parents trying to hold it together. Tight hugs. The kind of moments that hit you in the chest.

Because they are my friends, I had the gift of getting to know their families throughout the day. I had conversations. I laughed with them. I felt welcomed. I did not feel like a vendor standing on the outside. I felt like I was witnessing something sacred and being trusted with it.

Was I nervous? Yes. So nervous. But I was also prepared. And somewhere between the lake vows and the trumpet piece echoing through The Conservatory, I felt this deep calm.

This is what I am meant to do.

Faye and Brandon planned a wedding that was intentional, detail driven, and centered around their actual love story. Not trends. Not pressure. Just them.

If you are planning a wedding in Northeast Ohio and you care about meaningful details, family history, and photos that feel like you instead of a Pinterest board, I am your girl. I care about the quiet moments. The weird little in between laughs. The legacy pieces.

This day was the start of my business in the realest way.

And I will never forget it.
